Ayers Career College HVAC Graduates Share Success Stories

Outdoor temperatures and weather are conditions consistently changing. Because of this, it is imperative businesses and homes contain the proper heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. Keeping this equipment in optimal condition requires knowledgeable HVAC Technicians to execute regular maintenance and service calls. Fortunately, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics projects employment in this field to grow 5 percent between now and 2031.

Tyler Douglas – HVAC Graduate

Without Ayers, Tyler Douglas believed he wouldn’t be thriving in his new career. Looking for a profession that was truly hands-on, Tyler came across Ayers’ HVAC training program. He knew it would help him both professionally and personally. After successfully completing our HVAC training program, he worked with our Career Services team to secure a job. He was eager to move into this position right after graduation.

“A student should start their new HVAC career with Ayers because of the great teachers and learning environment,” Tyler stated. “They allow you to practice your skills on real equipment in the labs, like an A/C unit. That part was very helpful because it showed me what to expect in this job. I highly recommend this program!”

Grant Newton – HVAC Technician

The idea of working with his hands attracted Grant Newton to Ayers to complete the HVAC training program. He was also pleased that the campus was very close to his home and the fact that he could enter this new workforce in only nine months.

“One of my favorite parts of the program was the troubleshooting lessons in the lab, where we got to solve problems hands-on on the equipment,” Grant said. “The other would be that the skills I obtained during my time at Ayers enabled me to get my Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) card which allows me to advance in my new career in the HVAC industry.”

He believes the reason a student should start their new HVAC career with Ayers is because of the community. “Everyone at Ayers is very welcoming and enjoyable to be around. I really enjoyed the people that I met during my journey, and it helped make my experience very memorable.”

Antonio Lawrence – Former HVAC Technician Student

After hearing about the advantages that come with the HVAC Technician career, Antonio Lawrence decided it would be his next career path. After looking for the right place for him, and many conversations with family members and co-workers, Lawrence knew Ayers was the right choice!

During his time in the program, Antonio grew both his skill set and confidence and was also inducted into the National Technical Honor Society!

“Ayers will truly prepare you for a career, not just a job,” Antonio said. “They prepared me for interviews and gave me the skills I needed to get my foot in the door at my new job!”

Carlos Montgomery – HVAC Graduate

While searching the overseas job market, Carlos Montgomery saw the high need for HVAC Technicians. A quick Google search showed him that he could get started in this career in his hometown, and got registered for the next available class. The quick nine-month turnaround, hands-on training, and military veteran recognition program were some of the many things Antonio enjoyed during his time at Ayers.

As graduation loomed near, Antonio knew the next step in this new journey was to secure a job. “The Job Placement program at Ayers was the only reason I received as many job offers as I did,” he said. “Companies were reaching out to me offering jobs – I just had to choose which one best fit me.”
