How to Pay for Career Training in Shreveport-Bossier City
Education is important for those who wish to elevate themselves to a better life. Ayers Career College believes that the opportunity to gain an excellent education should not only be a privilege, but a commonly realized right for all people. Lack of financial resources should not be the determining factor in whether someone has the means to better themselves. Therefore, Ayers offers many different options to help individuals attain the education they wish to experience.
Students requiring assistance must make an appointment to meet with a Financial Aid Officer. A Financial Aid Officer will evaluate the student’s eligibility and assist the student with applying for appropriate funding. The programs listed below are available to students at Ayers Career College who qualify. Please note that each student must satisfy the eligibility requirements as stipulated by the U.S. Department of Education and/or the appropriate sponsoring agency.
Tuition Assistance Options for Qualified Students
Grants:
- Federal Pell Grant
- Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant
Loans:
- Federal Direct Loan
- Federal Direct Plus Loans (Parent Loans to Undergraduate Students)
Other Federal and State Programs:
In addition to federal student aid programs, students may be eligible for the State Matching Funds Grant, Trade Readjustment Act (TRA), or the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA). Some students are eligible for State Vocational Rehabilitation or Veterans Education and Training Benefits.
