Public Notice of Title IX Rights

Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 (“Title IX”) is a federal law that prohibits sex-based discrimination in educational programs that receive federal financial assistance. Ayers does not discriminate, or tolerate discrimination, against any member of its community on the basis of sex (including pregnancy, sexual orientation, or gender identity) in matters of admissions, employment, or in any aspect of the educational programs or activities it offers.

Any person who believes they have been discriminated against on the basis of sex in matters of admissions, employment, or in any aspect of the educational programs or activities Ayers offers has the right to file a complaint using the procedures set forth in the Ayers Title IX Sexual Harassment Policy (see below).

Reports of sex discrimination, questions regarding Title IX, and concerns about non-compliance should be directed to the Monica Wells, Title IX Coordinator. Retaliation against any individual for reporting discrimination and/or harassment is strictly prohibited. Individuals who engage in retaliation may be subject to disciplinary action.

Public Notice of Title VI Rights

Ayers Career College gives public notice of its policy to uphold and assure full compliance with the non-discrimination requirements of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and related Nondiscrimination authorities.  Title VI and related Nondiscrimination authorities stipulate that no person in the United States of America shall on the grounds of race, color, national origin, sex, age, disability, income level, or Limited English Proficiency be excluded from the participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be otherwise subjected to discrimination under any program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance.

Any person who desires more information regarding Ayer’s Title VI Program can contact its Title VI Program Coordinator – Avery Vascoe – at the address noted below.

Any person who believes they have, individually or as a member of any specific class of persons, been subjected to discrimination on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, age, disability, income level or Limited English Proficiency has the right to file a formal complaint.  Any such complaint must be in writing and submitted within 180 days following the date of the alleged occurrence to:

Individuals may also file a complaint with the U.S. Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights. Retaliation against any individual for reporting discrimination, filing a complaint, or participating in an investigation is strictly prohibited.
