PT students work on lab assignments to fill Rx requests

Students in the Pharmacy Technician program work in the PT lab, under the direction of program coordinator Loretta Richardson, in a Pharmacology II lab session. In this lab, students work to fill required prescriptions by finding the correct Rx drug on the shelves, counting tablets, and labeling bottles. PT Students work on Sterile Technique procedures

As part of their Sterile Techniques class, students in the Pharmacy Technician program worked on an assignment with instructor Delores Williams where they went through the entire process of calculating dosages, figuring compounds, cleaning and sterilizing the IV hood and working under the IV hood. During this class, students put on their personal protection kits (gown, gloves, masks, eye protection and shoe covers) to participate in this lab assignment.
