Ayers Career College’s Medical Office Professional training program provides students with the professional skills necessary to work in medical offices, private clinics, hospitals, and more! This training is for students who wish to support medical patients and providers by ensuring records are organized, customers are taken care of, and the office itself runs as efficiently as possible. 

Ayers’ Medical Office Professional Program Information

Program Length: Students can complete their Medical Office Professional Training in 36-weeks during the day.

Class Schedule: Day classes meet Monday through Thursday from 8:30 AM – 1:50 PM.

 Students will be prepared to take their National Registered Certified Administrative Health Assistant Certification. (NRCAHA). Students will also have the option to complete the Microsoft Office Suite Certification. This certification will assist graduates daily and is highly recommended but is also not a requirement for course completion.

Throughout the 36-week program, students will learn basic and advanced skills to perform well in the growing medical industry. Medical Office Professionals are vital to the healthcare industry today. After course completion, students should be able to perform the following job requirements:

  • Interview patients for case histories prior to appointments
  • Update and maintain patients’ health records
  • Assist patients with initial paperwork
  • Schedule and coordinate appointments
  • Process insurance claims in compliance with law requirements
  • Use medical software to support all transactions
  • Manage receivables and payable accounts and maintain financial records
  • Answer patients’ queries and ensure quality customer service
  • Help with medical examinations, schedule tests and order supplies
  • Ensure compliance with procedures

With these skills from our training program, students will be able to help organize a medical facility’s daily functions. Medical Office Professionals will support day-to-day operations by performing administrative tasks and ensuring high-quality customer service for healthcare patients.
